2017 off to a nice start

As we embark on a new year, I only have good news to share in.

One of my mentors, Beth Kephart, got named on a top 10 list of New Jersey authors, next to Bruce Springsteen.

I am headed to AWP in February.

My friends and encouragers from Rosemont College are off to Sicily, Italy for their first ever International Writers Retreat.

I have 10 poems waiting to get rejected at various journals. Why rejected?

I am hanging around San Jose, CA with Addison's mom & brother another 2 weeks helping them with some early spring cleaning projects and working on my grad school applications. Those are due soon. Yikes!

My friend in Nevada just started a new full-time job.

I made new friends in San Jose. I have seen old friends here, too. I like it here, despite wanting to hate it.

I have a serious interview Friday for a very cool & good job opportunity. They are letting me do the interview via Skype since I am out here in San Jose helping family.

No matter what happens, I think 2017 is going to be the year we make it. So let's make it great.
