Like a High

I always get this superhuman feeling when I finish a book. An incredible amount of energy and the desire to write someone a letter. 

Sometimes, the recipient of my letter would be the author of the book I have just finished. Sometimes just a friend. Other times, a stranger would make the best audience. 

I don't know how long I've had this reaction to the end of stories, but the last few books have given me that high. I should really start making sure I bring paper & pen with me on the day I know I'll finish a book.
