I write, it's whatever. 

The quote above is the header for my personal blog, in various forms of which I have been writing and updating for the last 15 years. That statement describes exactly what writing is to me: It's just what I do. 

Writing is what I do, it is what I have always done, and sometimes I think it is the only thing I know I can do. 

When I'm not working (which I do full-time because nothing better has come along), I can be spotted at open mic nights, Painted Bride Quarterly improv poetry slams, sneaking into editorial readings for literary magazines, and walking while texting.
